My voice is an instrument of the Lord. It sometimes rings loud, but regardless of its volume, it rings strong and it rings true.
I am a child of God, created by him for his pleasure, for his purpose and for his glory. I am not anyone’s victim.
Because of his grace, I am not too much, I am not not enough. I am just right and right on time. I will not be silenced.
Because of his love, I am so much more than a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. I will use my voice…
- to learn
- to teach
- to listen
- to love.
Because of his gentleness, I am molded and shaped into the image of Christ,
- laughing
- playing
- slowing
- thanking.
Because of his divine humanity, I can echo his sentiments into a broken and fallen world:
- weeping
- praying
- fasting
- healing.
Because of his plan, I too may be misunderstood, mocked, pierced, rejected.
Because of his purpose, I cannot fail and I will not be ashamed.
Because of his promise, I will never be alone.
Because of his sacrifice, I stand in victory.
God takes great delight in me and rejoices over me with singing.
With my voice, I will praise and glorify the Lord for all of my days.
